Created the brand identity for a Brooklyn-based Chinese fusion restaurant called Hey Hey Canteen. To play off the restaurant's name, I incorporated the Chinese character for “double happiness”, which is formed by repeating the same character twice. In Asian culture, eating together as a family is deeply valued and symbolizes connection. To reflect this, I enclosed the character within a circle, evoking the image of a round dining table—common in many Chinese restaurants—where people gather to share meals and build community.
